Dear Saints, in this post I would like to present a revelation that the Lord has laid upon my heart to share. As I stated in my January 29th post, this revelation is regarding the mystery of the gospel—Christ in us, the hope of glory.
Most Christians believe that they already have a full understanding of this mystery, but sadly, few really do. It is so much more than just the Spirit of Christ living in us. And so, I am sharing a revelation that will shine a light on this mystery and hopefully guide some to their path of greater glory and enlightenment. Although, some believers may reject this revelation because it’s offensive to the flesh and mind of man.
Recent postings of words from the Lord given through Pastor Mark have been telling us that our walk is not what it should be and that many of us are deceived about what the true Christian life really is.
I spoke on this topic in the teaching I posted on January 29th. If you haven’t read it yet, I encourage you to go read it before reading about this revelation I’m going to share. In that post, I speak about Christ dwelling in His fullness in us, which is our true hope of glory.
But for us to even be on the right path to this hope, we must first have a true understanding of His calling on our lives. For though many are called, few will be chosen because few will FIND the TRUE way to eternal life. “But the gateway to life is very narrow and the road is difficult, and only a few ever find it.” Matthew 7:14 (NLT)
Jesus emphasized that we must take up our cross daily. The apostles taught that we must crucify the flesh. But few truly understand the depth of what this really means.
John the Baptist was a voice of one calling: “Prepare the way for the LORD in the wilderness; make a straight highway for our God in the desert.” Isaiah 40:3 (BSB)
The wilderness and desert is the evil heart of man that has not been cleansed and purified. And preparing a way for the Lord is to make a highway of holiness for him in our hearts. “And there will be a highway called the Way of Holiness. The unclean will not travel it—only those who walk in the Way—and fools will not stray onto it.” Isaiah 35:8 (BSB)
1 Peter 1:16 because it has been written: “You shall be holy, because I am holy.” (BSB) This command for us to be holy really means what it says. I’ve heard many ministers water down what it means to be holy, and thus take away the true meaning of this command. But if we do not obey this scripture and become holy as He is holy (while still living here on earth), then we will not see Christ appear in us—our hope of glory. “Make every effort to live in peace with everyone and to be holy; without holiness no one will see the Lord.” Hebrews 12:14 (NIV) “Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God (within themselves while still on earth).” Matthew 5:8 (BSB) “Beloved, we are now children of God, and what we will be has not yet been revealed. We know that when Christ appears (within us), we will be like Him (holy and glorified), for we will see Him (in ourselves) as He is.” 1 John 3:2 (BSB)
Some ministers today go as far as claiming that those who believe in Christ are already holy just by believing. But if this were true, then why all the commands to become holy as He is holy, take up our cross, mortify the deeds of the flesh, etc. This belief is utter nonsense and the fools who believe it will not find true holiness as we are told in Isaiah 35:8.
We MUST become holy as He is holy to make a way for the Lord to appear within us. And this is a long process of taking up our cross daily and obeying Him. We must learn to come to the light as He is light and allow Him to expose the darkness in our hearts so that we may repent and be set free from sin AND our sinful nature.
Christ not only died on the cross and rose again for our sins, He was also our example. We are to die on our inward cross (completely) and rise from this body of death into newness of life in Him with His divine nature in us in place of our present sinful nature. “Through these He has given us His precious and magnificent promises, so that through them you may become partakers of the divine nature, now that you have escaped the corruption in the world caused by evil desires.” 2 Peter 1:4 (BSB)
Many believers like to quote from scripture that tells us we are created in God’s image (divine nature). However, the truth is man lost that divine nature and took upon the nature of a beast (Satan) when Adam sinned. “Do you not know that when you offer yourselves as obedient slaves, you are slaves to the one you obey, whether you are slaves to sin leading to death, or to obedience leading to righteousness?” Romans 6:16 (BSB) “I said to myself, “As for the sons of men, God tests them so that they may see for themselves that they are but beasts.” Ecclesiastes 3:18 (BSB)
Of course, most Christians do have an understanding that we all have a sinful nature within ourselves that opposes the Spirit of Christ within. “For the flesh craves what is contrary to the Spirit, and the Spirit what is contrary to the flesh. They are opposed to each other, so that you do not do what you want.” Galatians 5:17 (BSB) However, few Christians truly have a real understanding of our sinful nature, for it is after the spirit of Satan and under his control. In other words, our selfish spirit is after the image and nature of Satan, the beast, which must be crucified. Until our evil selfish spirit has been crucified, it sits in the temple of God (our hearts) claiming to be God (we are our own master).
When Jesus told His disciples that he must suffer and be killed and rise again on the third day, Peter rebuked him and said that it will never happen. And Jesus’ response to Peter was; “Get behind Me Satan”. When Jesus said this to Peter, He wasn’t being rhetorical. Peter was speaking under the control of the spirit of Satan, of which all men are until their evil, selfish, satanic spirit has been crucified on the inward cross.
When the Samaritan village didn’t welcome Jesus, James and John asked Him if He wanted them to call down fire from heaven to destroy the people. Jesus rebuked them and told them that they do not know what manner of spirit they are of, which is the spirit of Satan.
Jesus even told the Jews that Satan was their father. All of these scriptures are telling us that our selfish spirit is of the nature, and under the control of, Satan. This is because our spirit is from the seed of Satan. “And I will put enmity between you (the serpent) and the woman, and between your seed (our selfish spirit) and her seed (Spirit of Jesus Christ, born of a woman, the seed of Eve). He (Spirit of Christ) will crush your (Satan’s) head, and you will strike his heel.” Genesis 3:15 (BSB)
And therefore, the abomination of desolation spoken of by Daniel the prophet is our selfish spirit standing in the holy place (temple of God, our heart) where the Spirit of God labors to form Christ in us to rule. But before Christ can appear in our hearts, the Spirit of God must first reveal the man of sin (that lawless one, the beast) ruling our hearts and standing where God belongs, declaring himself to be God.
However, after learning of this truth, the gospel REALLY becomes good news. We are now living in a generation of God’s unprecedented grace that will enable us to truly cleanse ourselves and purify our evil selfish spirits within. “He said, “Go your way, Daniel, for the words are shut up and sealed until the time of the end. Many will be purified, made spotless, and refined, but the wicked will continue to act wickedly. None of the wicked will understand, but the wise will understand.” Daniel 12:9-10 (BSB)
And like I mentioned above, this process of crucifying the selfish spirit within takes time. But we are in a season when time is seemingly speeding up. So, if we will have the faith in Him, and lay our lives down for Him and His kingdom’s purpose, then He will do a quick work in us. And there will then be a generation of people in these last days who will see Christ resurrected within their hearts as the old man dies. And then the Spirit of Christ in us will crush Satan underneath our feet. “The God of peace will soon crush Satan under your feet. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you.” “And then the lawless one (Satan’s evil spirit in us) will be revealed, whom the Lord Jesus will slay with the breath of His mouth and annihilate by the majesty of His arrival (in us, our hope of glory). Romans 16:20, 2 Thessalonians 2:8 (BSB)
And so, when God reveals this man of sin to you (your own selfish satanic spirit), and you witness the abomination of desolation (your selfish spirit sitting where God should sit, declaring himself to be God), flee to the mountain (Christ) and wait upon Him until He slays the man of sin in you and crushes Satan underneath your feet.
And after this, in the twinkling of an eye, there shall be many translated into the full stature and perfect image of Christ, and the remnant man-child company (manifested sons of God) shall be birthed in the earth, being the firstborn of those who will walk in the power of the age to come. “Listen, I tell you a mystery: We will not all sleep, but we will all (all those cleansed, purified, and made holy) be changed in an instant, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, the dead will be raised imperishable, and we will be changed. “Before she was in labor she gave birth; before her pain came upon her she delivered a son. Who has heard such a thing? Who has seen such things? Shall a land be born in one day? Shall a nation be brought forth in one moment? For as soon as Zion was in labor she brought forth her children. Shall I bring to the point of birth and not cause to bring forth?” says the LORD; “shall I, who cause to bring forth, shut the womb?” says your God. “And she gave birth to a son, a male child, who will rule all the nations with an iron scepter. And her child was caught up to God and to His throne.” 1 Cor. 15:52, Isaiah 66:7-9, Rev. 12:5
So then, the revelation and point that I am trying to get across is the fact that our evil selfish spirit is the man of sin (lawless one) controlled by Satan. And thus, the importance of crucifying our fleshly spirit. We can NEVER do enough good works to make our evil spirit good, for there is NOTHING good about it. It is selfish and evil and sits in the temple of God (our hearts) declaring itself to be God (we are our own masters).
This explains why so many of God’s prophetic words lately given through Pastor Mark are telling us that many of us are deceived into thinking we are doing the things of God when in reality, we are following our own will (our evil spirits). Many Christians simply follow after their own natural mind and desires, thinking they are following the will of God. However, I believe that it is only AFTER we discover that our own evil spirit is declaring itself to be God of our lives when we can truly humble ourselves before God in broken repentance and ask Him to guide us with His Spirit and empower us to lay down our own will upon the altar of sacrifice. “Therefore I urge you, brothers, on account of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God, which is your spiritual service of worship.” Romans 12:1 (BSB)
I hope that this revelation of who the man of sin causes many to truly seek repentance from dead works (doing their own will) and take up their inward cross to their own selfish spirit which is the one controlling them, though they don’t know it. And after your sinful nature has been crucified, Jesus appears (is revealed) in glory and power within you to destroy the seed of the serpent as He promised.
“The one who practices sin is of the devil, because the devil has been sinning from the very start. This is why the Son of God was revealed (in us), to destroy the works of the devil (the man of sin, our evil spirit within).” 1 John 3:8 (BSB) But if we are led by the Spirit of God instead of our own evil spirits, then we are called the sons of God. Romans 8:14
Now, please note that even though I have shared revelations about the man of sin and the beast, these are spiritual fulfillment of scripture. Whereas, many times scripture has both a natural and a spiritual fulfillment. Therefore, where I have shared spiritual interpretations of scripture, it does not negate the fact that there may also be a natural fulfillment of scripture when speaking of the man of sin and beast. However, if you think that you will never take the physical mark of the beast when it comes, though you haven’t crucified the beast within, then you are just deceiving yourself.
Therefore, please take heed to the warnings He is now giving us to prepare for when such a time comes. And may the light of Christ shine in the darkness of your hearts and lead you on the true narrow path to eternal life in Him.
Amen… Dear Saints, these are crucial days in which we live. And unfortunately many in the Church are still asleep. I pray that you all take these words and teachings to heart and prepare while there is still time.
Much love and blessings to you in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Your brother in Christ,
Kevin B.
